Adrenaline : During a seizure, just like any other significantly stressful situation, the body's fight or flight senses the stress & responds by releasing stored adrenaline into the circulations. By its direct stimulation on the heart and blood vessels, the rapid surge in this hormone causes a rise in BP & pulse. Other intertwined mechanisms are described but rapid rise in sympathetic tone is the main reason.
