Depends.: Iuds may prevent endometrial cancer. They do not prevent cervical cancer and probably do not affect the risk of ovarian cancer.

Mirina IUD and canc: No there no increse risk cancer with Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud.It is safe, effective and long term.
