No: Pain is never "normal". However, not all pain requires aggressive treatment. It may be best to manage conservatively if it is inflammatory. I would suggest seeing your doctor to find out why you have pain, & how best to manage it.

Plyometric: And/or jump training can be hard on the knees. If ice, nsaids, elevation and periodic rest don't offer relief, consider seeing an orthopedist to rule out tendon/cartilage/muscle strain. Continuing to stress these joints without adequate recovery time is not conducive to proper healing.
