If i take licorice alone i feel fine. if i take ssri alone i feel fine. if i take these together mentally i go crazy- why?

Similar effects: A study showed that several isoflavans present in licorice affect the serotonergic system and inhibits serotonin re-uptake. That is also the mechanism of action of ssris. Thus, if you take them together you are overdosing yourself.
