Positive converter: If your employee tested positive for TB she should have a chest xray to see if she has active lung disease. You and your family invluding your child should be tested. If negative you all should be retested in a month to six weeks to see if you have turned positive.

Depends: The first thing to do is to determine if your son's caretaker has an active TB or has latent one. A blood test known as interferon-gamma assay is all required. If she has a latent tb, your son doesn't need to undergo any test or needs to take any medicine.
