A member asked:

Is it possible to lose a clot the size of a 2 pence and have light bleeding and still be pregnant?

Yes: Bleeding in early pregnancy is actually quite common and indicates a miscarriage only half the time or less. Obviously, the heavier the bleeding the more ominous it is, but you should get a sonogram and perhaps blood tests before jumping to conclusions.

Yes could be: Bleeding in pregnancy usually not normal, but light spotting in first 3 months usually happens after sexual intercourse or exertion. Second and third trimester bleeding are more serious . You should seek medical advice after any episode of bleeding. Be aware about getting injection called Rhogam if your blood type is negative.Always have rest and drink plenty of water.
