Incidental finding: Liver hemangiomas in adults are often unexpectantly seen when ct scans are ordered to look at other areas of the abdomen. These are usually clinically insignificant, and typically do not require any further therapy. Liver hemangiomas are sometimes seen in infants during the first year of life with 5 or more skin hemangiomas, and in these cases, often benefit from further therapy.
