Mismatch: Usually donor positive to recipient negative for cmv. It will need gancyclovir i've and possibly reduction in immunosuppression.

Management: I hope that he is doing well. CMV is a commonly acquired infection. Once the stem cell transplantation is completed, the immune system will re-build itself. The treatment for CMV is an anti viral agent, and CMV is treatable. Immune deficiency or suppression are risk factors for CMV infection. The management during the engraftment period includes controlling and monitoring for infection/rejection.
