I've concluded No: Science is the most cutthroat of all human activities, and the scientist who could demonstrate a convincing risk of harm from aspartame -- not just a junk study in which ridiculous amounts are given to some rats -- would have his career made. It hasn't happened, and the chemistry in the internet scares wouldn't pass the approval of a high school chemistry teacher.
