Low Calcium: Hypoparathyroidism causes you to lose calcium, and low calcium levels cause fatigue and irritability.

Other problem: Patients with hypoparathyroidism who have normal serum calcium levels due to appropriate therapy should have no symptoms. Other reasons should be sought such as depression.
