A member asked:

When a med says it causes anorexia, what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Loss Of Appetite: Anorexia, as a side effect, refers to a diminished or loss of appetite. Many medications, including the antidepressant buproprion, can lead to anorexia. I have found that medications causing nausea can also cause anorexia. Taking such medications at bedtime can help reduce the anorexia. Do not change the timing of any medication without first discussing with the prescribing physician.
