A member asked:

Is there any way of finding out if someone has had chlamydia for long enough to not be able to get pregnant anymore? if so, how?

Tubal infertility: Long duration of untreated chlamydia raises risk of fallopian tube blockage and infertility, but it's still is uncommon. Female infertility is defined by 12 months attempting to conceive (mid-cycle sex every month) without success. At that point, tests to determine whether the tubes are open usually are done. Until then, I wouldn't be too worried, even if you had untreated chlamydia a long time.
