Groin rash: Any rash in the groin fold could potentially give an odor and some drainage. Common rashes there include fungal or candida infections and psoriasis. Keeping the area dry may help in either case, but these are treated very differently. Please see your dermatologist for a more definitive diagnosis and treatment.

Intertrigo: Intertrigo affects the top layers of skin. It is caused by moisture, bacteria, yeast, or fungus in the folds of the skin. The affected areas of skin are usually pink to brown. If the skin is very moist, it may begin to break down. In severe cases, there may be a bad odor. See your dermatologist for therapy. You will need prescription medications.
