Allergy meds: Typically, the warning is there for patients who have hyperthyroidism. Many allergy remedies have stimulants, like pseudoephedrine. In the face of hyperthyroidism, this could raise blood pressure and heart rate. The jury is still out on whether or not there are issues with hypothyroid problems and allergy meds. Hyperthyroidism is much less common than hypothyroidism.
