What different types of birth control pills are out there?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many different types: There are dozens of different brands; all contain either an estrogen and a progestin hormone (combined ocp), or just progestin ('mini'pill, for breastfeeding, or other situations). They contain varying doses of ethinyl Estradiol (10-35mcg) and vaious types of progestins; one type has a novel /unique estrogen and progestin.
