Stretching: Maintenance of normal tissue through stretching and massage; eat a high carbohydratre meal 2-3 hours before exercise. Also ingest adequate fluid, carbohydrates and electrolytes. There are no proven strategy for prevention of exercise induced cramps but regular muscle stretching and maintaining good posture might help.
