See below:: Strain of the calf muscles which attach across the back of the knee, will cause pain. A pulled muscles, contusion (bruising) of the calf muscles will also be painful on bending the knee. Serious problem like a clot in the superficial or the deep veins can be a cause....... So do see your doctor urgently to exclude that diagnosis.
