Depends: Depends on the stage, of course, as well as the behavior of the particular cancer but as a rule, breast cancer is often curable or at least very treatable.

Extremely variable : This depends on the type, grade and stage. Some are essentially 100% curable, others are almost universally fatal. It varies remarkably.

Good odds with care: Majority survive with early diagnosis and management. Regular self-exams, mammograms, assessment by physicians if strong family history or carrying brca gene are all helping earlier diagnosis and earlier care. Talk to your pcp or oncologist for specific advice.
