Anorexic.: Anorexia is an eating disorder characterized by markedly reduced appetite or total aversion to food. They have body image or self esteem conflicts.

Anorexia nervosa: In anorexia nervosa, the person perceives herself/himself as "fat" even though s/he is slender or even cachectic. Fears gaining weight, and even though s/he may be hungry, controls and restricts food intake. The definition includes refusal to maintain weight at least 85% of expected. Undue focus on body weight, yet denies seriousness of low weight. May purge with vomiting, laxatives, & diuretics.
