See PCP in Person!: Diagnosis is serious detective work. 2 do it well docs need 2 have as much background info & evidence in favor and against a particular diagnosis. There r many brain & body conditions that could underlie violent outbursts, so it could be harmful 2even list any possibilities. The risks r too great: this person could end up harming her/himself or others. The first step is 2see pcp 4 physical exam.

Several: It is a key feature of intermittent explosive disorder. However, other emotional disorders can lead to mood instability which might end up with violent episodes. Is the person in touch with reality? It not look towards psychotic disorders. Possibly a mood disorder in a manic episode which can manifest in irritability and impulsivity. Look for substance and alcohol abuse too. Get help!
