Viral?: Stomach flu ( or viral gastro enteritis) is most common cause. Try otc pedialyte and omit juice and dairy from diet for 24 hrs.

Worried mother: Toddlers diarrhea is seen in children to 30-36 months of age. Childs may have frequent stooling during the day, but are happy at play but obviously bothersome to you. The cause may be unknown, but juices containing fructose sugars are often responsible. As I have suggested to you previously, keep a diet diary and see if you can pinpoint the problem.

Sometimes normal: Most of the time, diarrhea is the result of a stomach infection.Toddler’s diarrhea(chronic nonspecific diarrhea of childhood) is condition affecting children from 6 months to 5 years of age. Children with toddler’s diarrhea will have 3-10 loose stools per day.Despite diarrhea, child continues to grow and gain weight appropriately as long as the diet contains enough calories. If worried, see dr.
