I have bronchitis & my dr. gave me benzonatate for the cough.i have fluid in my lungs but when i cough its a dry cough. will the prescription help w/ the mucus?

Benzon cough suppres: Benzonate is a cough suppressant. It will not affect mucus. Expectorant can thin out mucus. Inhaling steam, lots of fluids, spicy foods can help. Talk to your doc.
