"Renal cortical thinning" is not a diagnosis or medical condition, just a finding on imaging of the kidneys (MRI, CT, etc). As discussed with your previous question, it is conceivable your elevated BP has caused some kidney damage (with or without cortical thinning) and this could be associated with proteinuria. Keep working with your doctor; a forum like this really can't help further.
