These tests are equivalent. They detect nearly all new HIV infections ("window period") by 4 weeks, around 98%; and for sure all new infections at 6 weeks.

Hi Sir I asked from lab they have answered me m We would like to inform you that, window period of HIV test is 3-6 months and we are providing combined value of P24 in HIV 1& 2 & and this is 4th generation test Can I relay on it it was 53 day after?
Just asking in curiosity. Do all LAB 4th Gen HIV negative tests need to be confirmed by a second test, even if the first test is done outside the window period? Or is one HIV test outside of 6 weeks enough?
I had two exposure with my ex gf 1st one was on the 31/3/22 the 2nd one on the 15/5/22 since then till August 20th i have done a total of 4 rapid antibody hiv test blood where drawn from my vien at a lab outside the window period of the two exposure?
