A member asked:

If u compare the toxicity of chemo drugs to tobacco or pesiticides or other substances like these. exposure to chemo drugs at workplace or exposure to pesticides or tobacco. which is more likely to cause cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some chemotherapy, by suppressing the immune system, can cause malignancies to develop, but I'd rate exposure to environmental toxins & radiation and the habit of smoking more common causes of malignancy. Chemotherapy patients have little choice but smokers and workers around toxins like asbestos & some pesticides have some choice.
