It depends on what the rash looks like. If there are open areas, neither is probably a good idea. But, if it is closed, then calamine lotion would probably be more soothing. However, you should be treated by an oral antiviral medication that your doctor can provide so hoping that you are taking this medicine. If not, see your doctor to get a prescription. Good luck!
