A member asked:

I just started birth control and my period is lasting really long. what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Period: It's not unusual to have irregular (spotting/longer periods/shorter periods) in the months after starting birth control. Often, this normalizes, but sometimes it doesn't and the woman needs to switch to a different birth control.
