Can call Peds or yes: If you can speak with pediatrician in relatively short time, then could call to see if any recommendations or wants to see in office. If not, then would take to er, as wee-ones have very limited reserves and get dehydrated quickly.

Take him in: Mel, if your child is not keeping food or drink down, the best thing to do is to take him in. The major risk is dehydration. If he will at least take sips of fluids (1-2 oz at a time) at home and can keep that down, then you may watch him closely for the next 24 hours for improvement. If you notice that he is not producing tears or not producing much urine, he is dehydrated, & he should be seen.
