Do i need to taper off 2.5 mg of lexapro? or i can quit cold turkey?

How long have you been at this dose, and what is your usual dose? Your psychiatrist usually will create an down-taper schedule if you feel you are ready to discontinue the drug for now. 2.5mg is the lowest dose of Lexapro. For my patients I usually will tell them to take it every other day for 1-2 weeks, then stop. Reach out to your psychiatrist though if you haven't already.
