On "CD 28", the actual ovulation may not have occurred in mid-cycle, as delays in ovulation will cause delays in onset of menses. If your cycles are "regular" (34-32 days apart) and your period is delayed, wait five days after the expected onset of your period and obtain a "home" pregnancy test to be certain. Stress (emotional, job, school, etc.) can delay ovulation.
