I recently was tested for bv (bacterial vaginosis) because ive had an odor down there. come to find out that i dont have bv but im still experiencing the odor. im not sure what to do?

Diagnosing BV is imprecise. Other infections, especially trichomonas, can cause the same odor; you should be tested for it, and also for other STDs if not yet done. If in doubt, it's often best to treat for BV even if the diagnosis has not been confirmed. Discuss with your doctor. Good luck.
