A member asked:

Sometimes when i eat something really hot i feel a hot pain go all down my back and at times wont go away till i breath deep is this bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Esophageal burn: Probably esophageal burning. When you breath you change the position of the diaphragm in relation to the esophagus and stomach, allowing the spicy or hot temperature food to enter the stomach. The back pain sounds like referred pain.
