What is the treatment and survivability rate for axonal polyneuropathy? the disease is getting worse, is about my grandmother, she struggle to swallow and has breathing issues, we hardly understand what she says but her intelect was not affected?

It depends on how aggressive your grandmother wants to be. If she is unable to eat because of her swallow issues and she is unable to breathe, this will not have a good outcome. She needs to make decisions, if she hasn’t already, about a feeding tube and about mechanical ventilation. She can be kept comfortable if she decides against these measures. These are important decisions for her to make.

The axonal polyneuropathy is a peripheral nerve problem secondary to an underlying disorder that may not have been fully diagnosed. The difficulties with swallowing and breathing could be due to Guillain-Barre syndrome, Chronic Inflammatory Polyneuropathy, or even Myasthenia Gravis, etc., but not feasible to clarify here. A clearcut diagnosis is urgently needed. Perhaps a second opinion?
