A member asked:

Can pregnancy occur if sperm is applied to the vaginal opening(outside of vaginal) while the hymen is present?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pregnancy requires a fertile sperm to enter the female genital tract and travel up to the Fallopian tubes. Sperm are fragile & die off quickly if not inside the warm stable environment of vaginal mucus. If the sperm you describe immediately enter the vaginal mucus, pregnancy is possible. If they are just outside it is not.
