If you have a wound, as long as it is not red or has pus coming out of it, you can apply an antibacterial ointment, like triple antibiotic ointment or bacitracin, and cover it with a dressing (like a bandaid). Do this daily and as needed if it gets wet or soiled until it completely heals. If it looks infected (like red or pus present), then see a doctor as antibiotics may be needed. Good luck!

Generally skin blisters once they are opened up, will drain spontaneously and go away. Any time there are signs of infection, redness, pain, pus consult primary care, physician or do HealthTap video visit
