In 2022 had outbreak of genital warts. i treated them over about 3 months, cleared by dec 2022. ive had 2 of 3 doses of gardasil, with my final dose due in june 2023. in may 2023 i had unprotected sex. what is the risk of transmission?

Once genital warts are cleared up, within a few months the underlying HPV infection usually is not transmissible to partners. It isn't clear whether HPV vaccine (Gardasil) makes this even less likely. Initial data suggested the vaccine has no effect on previously acquired HPV, but recent research suggests it may reduce the frequency of reactivation of the virus and transmission risk.
