I suspect that i have periorbital cellulitis. my doctor gave me antibiotic eye drops, wouldn't oral antibiotics be better?

Systemic antibiotics (oral or IV, depending on severity) usually are advised for periorbital cellulitis, but your doctor might have determined you only have conjunctivitis (pink eye). Check back with the doctor if you remain concerned, or especially if the problem isn't starting to improve within a day or two of antibiotic drops. Good luck.
