A member asked:

My son is 11, and he vomits at least once almost every day. i thought maybe it's due to acidic food, or junk food, or even sodas, but it also happens on days where he only drinks water and eats nothing acidic or "junky" what could be the cause?

Your son needs to be evaluated b y a GI doctor, especially if he is losing weight. In general, vomiting every day is not normal. There are many etiologies possible for this symptom so it is crucial to have him evaluated by a GI doctor so he can be diagnosed and treated. Best of luck to both of you!

It is not normal to have persistent vomiting, but there are many potential causes. If this has been persistent, your son may need to see a pediatric gastroenterologist for an evaluation. Good luck.
