You are likely to have a "biologic" false positive result attributable to the occurrence of reagins in a variety of human illnesses to the nontreponemal tests, such as RPR or VDRL. Infectious mononucleosis, malaria, leprosy, collagen vascular diseases (systemic lupus, polyarteritis nodes, rheumatic disorders). Treponemal antibody tests will further clarify.
