A member asked:

How long until symptoms of ocular herpes how up?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I assume you mean Herpes simplex which can appear on the eyelids as blisters or on the front of the eye as lesions on the cornea. It is asymptomatic until it shows up so the time prior to onset is not really important. Once there it can cause lid pain if on that site or redness and the eye, irritation and lowered vision if on the cornea. There is good treatment for this from your ophthalmologist
