The period is a cyclical stimulation of the uterus to hold a baby and the bleeding is the shedding of inner linning if there is no embryo to occupy the uterus . The uterus has various layers that are stimulated to grow by chemicals in the body and sometimes there could be abnormal growth of the muscle layer resulting in fibroid that is common in women and may make the uterus bigger than normal.
