Ovulation occurs : About day 14 after the first day of the period. Sperm can live up to seven. It takes time for sperm to get to the egg. If she has a 5 day cycle, theme intercourse up to day 5 after, that's 4 days prior to ovulation and within the lifespan of sperm. I think you are cutting it too close. Gd luck.
