A member asked:

So there is no treatment for a central scotoma? nothing at all? no shot? no medicine? nothing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Central Scotomas are not treatable with corrective lenses or surgery but tools and adaptive devices can help like magnifying devices, large print books, filters to cut back glare on computer screens, talking clocks and scales, audiobooks, magazines, and newspaper. Hope it helps.
