I fell down the steps earlier and i have a bruise on my left upper butt check almost on my back. its changed colors over the hours now its blue/purple/black with a some red. i also have some swelling. and a hard lump should i be worried? using ice?

What you described is consistent with bleeding in the tissue, a hematoma. It will resolve. It would be better to warm fomentation after the first day of injury.
