A member asked:

For 5 days ive had a warm sensation in my calf that comes and goes in a few seconds. like someone pouring warm water down the outside if my leg. there is no pain at all, no warmth to the touch, no rash, etc. happens multiple times per hour?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I suspect that the cause of such a fleeting sensation is an irritable muscle or superficial nerve in that calf. Absence of swelling, more noticeable pain & and significant tenderness would point to a nonserious cause. If you still have concerns, see your MD for evaluation & an ultrasound may be ordered to exclude a DVT( blood clot in a vein).
