"Chronic endocervicitis" described an inflammatory condition involving the cells which line the cervical canal, and can give rise to pap smears which have the designation of "ASCUS" (abnormal cells of uncertain significance) which can lead to colposcopy and biopsies.

60 year old. My husband & I of 40 years have never had any other sexual partners. My last pap smear showed positive HPV mRNA E6/E7. Negative genotypes 16, 18/45 &negative cytology. All Negative in 2021 as well. How is this possible? Next steps?
