A member asked:

I dealt with a facial trauma 6 weeks ago & it caused swelling on one of my cheek. within 2 weeks of injury, most of the swelling went away but i still feel a lump in cheek which is not going away and its size has been constant, also theres no pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The bulk of the swelling was likely from edema and that drained away. The residual "lump" may be blood in the tissue, hematoma, and it may take a while to resolve. If you do not have other symptoms, you may watch and wait. Warm fomentation may facilitate the resolution.
