Some women occasionally skip a period. Delays due to pregnancy would result in a positive pregnancy test at this point. The delay in some can last more than a month. If you go more than 2 months with a negative pregnancy test some docs would offer hormonal pills to trigger a menses. You can always test every week if you wish.

If you did the test correctly it rules out pregnancy. If you have any concern, get a blood test for HCG level. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause.
