If the "switch" in oral bcps was made after only a seven day placebo interval, and not longer, the low dose bcp's will confer a 96-98% effective protection against pregnancy. Take the active pills of the new "low dose" bcps within the hour of the prior day's active pill, or breakthrough bleeding may occur.
