I was holdingmy one week old baby to clean her up and it looks like i was pressing too much on her lungs for 2 mins. she wasn't crying as she usually does and when i laid her down on the bed her hands were blue. is she in danger?

If you put the tip of your finger on her cheek and press down, you can see the very pink inner eyelid skin that shows the true state of her oxygen content.

Please see the Emergency room, if this is a new finding. In the first few hours, sometimes the hands may be blue ringed as the baby transitions to breathing room air. An oxygen saturation test is recommended. Watch for signs of distress and feeding difficulty.
